Veterans in Hawaii
There are 121,007 veterans in Hawaii, according to a recent report from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Of these 96,733 served our country during wars, and 24,274 served in peacetime. Of the ones who served during wars, 51,201 served in the Gulf War, 37,161 in the Vietnam War, 7,418 during the Korean conflict, and 5,189 in World War II. 108,199 of the veterans in Hawaii are male, and 12,808 are female.
